Trucker's Wife#2 x Bubblegum Breath. This lovely pack represents the 2018 cult classic 'Trucker's Wife#2' (Mendo Breath x Auto#2) with our Spring 2026 superstar lady stud 'Bubblegum Breath' (Bubblegum x Lady's Breath). Large, leggy girls with xmas tree shape, XXL yield potential and copious resin production. Profile is powdery sweet berry body with skunky burnt fuel tones and a slight citrus chem hint. Late season (roughly 75-80 days from sprout) brings extravagant lavender/purple tones.
*The art & the influence: As an artisan breeder, my botanical focus has always been on crafting nostalgia and euphoria via unique cultivars influenced by all forms of art, counterculture, Americana, global pop culture and various other influences and personal experiences. This approach is reflected in the in the cultivar, the name and the accompanying artwork.
2016-2019 were some crazy years! Moving up to the Midwest, out into the great north woods as winter was setting in was all new territory for me. In mid 2016, attempting to divorce my second wife for the 3rd time, I left Tennessee in a hurry and drove straight east until I hit water, spent the latter half of the year on the road doing some long overdue soul searching. Mostly camping in swamps, smoking cigars with old Cuban dudes, looking at alligators and manatees and whatnot, ultimately ending up on the Eastern shore of Lake Michigan around late October.
Looking for a place to set up shop was a chore, so in the meantime, I rented a cozy little room at a remodeled 1950's truck stop diner motel combo on an old lazy stretch of state highway. Those days consisted mostly of fresh baked blueberry pies from a local farm, and working on the first expansion and branding of Puff Puff Pass.
Finally found a cabin in the wilderness with a huge metal building and started building out grow spaces. I was really excited to finally start hunting thru some of the seeds I had been holding onto. Bohdi, Guage Green, Jungle Boys and a few others made the first cut and I was in love with Breathworks and Mendo Breath.
The first Mendo Breath Autoflower cross was with Auto#1 in hopes of retaining more of the original Mendo profile but it just wasn't doing it any justice so we crossed the F1's with Auto#2 and obtained consistent amazing specimen by f4, but it was unique, so instead of our original intention to release Mendo Breath Auto, this one got dubbed 'Trucker's Wife#2'.
My main focus when selecting which cultivars to pollinate during the initial open pollination is vigor, similar lifespan, and quality. Trucker's Wife#2 checked all the boxes and ended up being one of the final five selections for inbreeding.
Aptly named, Valley Girl Autoflower is a trans-continental blend of a West Coast legacy, and an East Coast adaptation of a Midwest classic, with a scattering of shattered bits of my personal interpretations. It may be a prequel to the saga of the Trucker's Wife#2, or maybe it's a sequel. Is the Valley Girl the Trucker's 2nd wife as a young lass? Or is it her protege, like mother like daughter? For all we know it could be her niece, and adventure just runs in the family? I'm not sure, all we know for sure is that they're related.
