*The art & the influence: As an artisan breeder, my botanical focus has always been on crafting nostalgia and euphoria via unique cultivars influenced by all forms of art, counterculture, Americana, global pop culture and various other influences and personal experiences. This approach is reflected in the in the cultivar, the name and the accompanying artwork.
Pink Bubbly is primarily influenced by popular crosses around the US. For several years I was fixated on the perfect blend of exotic purples and potent greens. Dirty Sprite was one of my best examples and it reminded me a lot of one of my favorite original (2013-14) Mephisto releases 'Sour Bubbly'. Insane profile! Sweet spoiled milk, golden champagne, crisp green peppers and a hint of gassy red berry.
The name was a quick decision because it fit the lineage and the profile. Unfortunately, the initial f4 fem seeds suffered some severe conditions due to my travels and didn't gain any traction until 2023 after a reproduction crop on the fly in Florida in 2022. I had very high hopes for Dirty Sprite and made sure to include a few in almost every open pollination over the years.
I managed a few greenhouse inbreeding sessions in Ohio in 2023/2024, bringing this Bubblegum Breath x Dirty Sprite cross to fem f4 and we know you're going to love it! It's one of the five final selections from our original Bubblegum Breath open pollinations; it's a tribute to the original Mephisto crew and it's a delicacy!
